State symbolism

The Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic

Was accepted on March 3, 1992 on the 8th session of Jogorku Kenesh. On March 5 the flag was solemnly hoisted to the building of the Government House.

State flag
Solid red of the flag symbolizes valor and audacity. The golden Sun that is bathing in its rays represents peace and wealth. Tunduk is a symbol of an ancestral home in a wider understanding and of the world as the universe.

State symbol

The state symbol of Kyrgyzstan contains mountain eagle – Generosity and vigilance, and purity of the thoughts of Kyrgyzstany, who populate the country of mountains. Water smooth of the lake is the symbol of nature’s beauty, the source of life and energy.
